Our Passion for BBQ

Family owned and operated Ridge View BBQ began in 2007, when we brought our slow-cooked menu to fairs and festivals throughout the state.

We opened our stand-alone restaurant in 2011 and enjoy serving our new and regular guests Tuesday through Friday each week, while maintaining a robust catering schedule on the weekends.

Our restaurant is located in beautiful downtown Institute, WV. We are just off Exit 50 of Interstate 64, right across the street from historic West Virginia State University.

When you pull into a restaurant and the traffic is wrapped around the building into the road, you've definitely picked the right spot. The staff has always been friendly and fast once you get to the ordering window. The meats all have that smoke flavor you're wanting and cooked appropriately for the correct tenderness.

My family wanted to have this for the WVU game. We picked up trays of the pulled pork, buns and sides of mac and cheese, baked beans and spinach dip on Friday (they are closed on Saturday). We heated it the next day and it was so delicious! I think it was the best bbq I’ve ever had! My entire family loved it!
